Beverly D. Flaxington is a sales and marketing expert, corporate consultant, college professor, certified behavioral expert, bestselling and Gold-award winning author. She’s a frequent contributor to magazines, newsletters and online journals. She has insights, education and specific life and change management tools to share with college students to help them prepare for their future careers.
Beverly co-founded two successful companies, The Collaborative and Advisors Trusted Advisor and continues to run both firms. She is a successful entrepreneur, spent many years in C-level executive positions and is an executive coach and trainer to many leaders in top global companies. She has trademarked two successful change and project management processes: The S.H.I.F.T. Model ™ and The Five Secrets to Successful Selling ™. She is well known for her insights in business, teambuilding, effective communication and dealing with change. She is a guest blogger for Psychology Today online.
Her bestselling book, Understanding Other People: The Five Secrets to Human Behavior, released in 2009, won the gold award from Readers Favorite and has revolutionized communication in businesses. Her newest book based upon her trademarked change management and goal achievement model, “Make the Shift: The Proven Five-Step Plan to Success for Corporate Teams” is used as required reading in the Leadership & Social Responsibility course at Suffolk University. She authored Make Your SHIFT: The Five Most Powerful Moves You Can Make to Get Where YOU Want to Go which became a bestseller the day it was released. She also authored “The 7 Steps to Effective Business Building for Financial Advisors” which was selected by the Financial Planning Association to make available to their members. Her most recent release, 30 Days to Understanding Other People: A Daily Approach to Improving Your Relationships came out in April of this year. She is co-author of “Wealthbuilding: A Consumer’s Guide to Making Profitable and Comfortable Investment Decisions”, published by Dearborn Financial Publishing. She trademarked “The Five Secrets to Successful Selling” in 2006.
She is also an adjunct professor at Suffolk University currently teaching MGT 200 Leadership and Social Responsibility. Beverly is a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA) and Certified Professional Values Analyst (CPVA). She uses the DISC and PIAV tools frequently in her work with individuals and organizations. Bev holds a BSBA and an MBA from Suffolk University. She is currently a board member for the Neponset Valley Humane Society.
